Wedding Date...

I am very happy to announce that Marty and I will be married on Sunday, November 16, 2008, at Union Primitive Baptist Church immediately after worship service. I know it's a long way for my dear family, church family and friends to go all the way to Georgia, but if you can, we would be so very happy to have you there to witness our great joy!

By the way, Marty and I are combining 2-households, so we really don't need anything! Please, please, PLEASE, don't get us anything... a much coveted gift for us would be your prayers, and of course, to see your smiling face!

And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 02.11.07 Brother Chris talked today about our faith in our Lord Jesus. As you can read the above verse, even after witnessing many miracles by Jesus, how quickly these disciples dissolved into fear and unbelief that GOD would take care of them, even while Jesus slept. They didn’t understand the strength of His will.

How easy it is to forget indeed! This is the story of my life. I have learned my lesson, however, as it took me almost 40 years to realize my faith and that I am not in charge of my life. As much as I thought I was in charge, GOD was directing me; He continues to mold and shape me into what direction He wants me to go. Today, I lean on Him very heavily, and I am so thankful for His guidance. SS
